With Pyer, our Synth & Electronic Music teacher, you will discover how to listen sounds both analytically and emotionally, learning to identify different sound families and describe their character in expressive terms.

Through hands-on exploration with software and hardware synthesizers, you will experience how sound is

shaped, from its source to its tone and movement. The workshop introduces the conceptual basics of synthesis in

a clear and intuitive way. By the end, you will have a professional-grade synthesizer installed on your laptop, and

the knowledge on how to use it and navigate it. You will leave with a sharper ear, a deeper understanding of what

sound design means in music, and the curiosity to continue exploring.

Practical information
Participants are required to bring their own laptop and headphones, as a professional-grade synthesizer will be installed and used during the workshop.
