Emotion & Storytelling in Singing - All Levels

How do you move an audience when you sing — beyond technique?

This immersive vocal workshop focuses on emotion, storytelling, and intention. Singers are invited to connect more deeply to lyrics and express meaning through their voice in an authentic and grounded way.

Led by our vocal teacher Sandy, the workshop offers a safe, supportive, and high-level artistic environment where vocal expression can be explored without pressure or judgment.

What we’ll work on

  • Emotional grounding and presence before singing

  • Understanding lyrics as a story rather than a sequence of words

  • Acting-based exercises using spoken text and song lyrics

  • Translating emotion into vocal color, phrasing, and delivery

  • Singing with clarity, intention, and confidence

The workshop balances exploration, reflection, and guided vocal work. Participants will not be singing continuously, allowing space for integration and discussion.

What you’ll walk away with

  • A clear method to emotionally connect to any song

  • Practical tools to make your singing feel more honest, expressive, and grounded

  • Greater confidence in conveying emotion through your voice

  • New perspectives on storytelling and stage presence

  • A stronger connection between body, voice, and lyrics

  • Exercises you can reuse independently in your own practice.
