Meet Flor – Violin & Viola Teacher
Flor’s musical story began almost by chance at the age of three, when her parents enrolled her in violin lessons through a music school partnership. What started as an unexpected opportunity quickly turned into a lifelong passion for string instruments.
At fifteen, Flor discovered the viola — and instantly fell in love. Feeling the deeper sound and the vibrations resonating through her chest was a defining moment, one that led her to embrace the viola alongside the violin for several years.
Flor went on to pursue advanced studies in viola performance, earning a scholarship to the University of Southern Mississippi, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Music Performance. She later pursued her studies the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, completing a Master’s degree in Viola Music Performance.
Since then, Flor has built an international career as a freelance musician and teacher, working in Dubai, Argentina, and now Belgium.
Flor’s teaching is deeply inspired by the Suzuki method, the same approach through which she learned as a child. Originating in Japan, this method is based on how we naturally learn to speak: through listening, repetition, encouragement, and constant musical exposure.
With Flor, you can expect:
A supportive and encouraging learning environment
A strong focus on playing, listening, and repetition
Lessons adapted to each student’s pace and personality
An approach that builds both technical skills and musical confidence
Whether you’re a young beginner, a returning adult student, or looking to deepen your musical expression, Flor will guide you with patience, clarity, and a genuine love for teaching.
