Sing & Strum – Playing Guitar While Singing (Beginner - Intermediate)

  • Pacson Music School 12 Rue Général Wangermée Bruxelles, Bruxelles, 1040 Belgium (map)

Do you already play guitar but struggle when you try to sing at the same time?

This workshop is designed for beginner–intermediate guitarists who are comfortable with basic chords and rhythm and want to combine voice and guitar more naturally. Sing & Strum focuses on practical tools, real songs, and simple strategies to help you play and sing together without overthinking.

Under the guidance of Carla our vocal and guitar teacher, you’ll work on coordination, groove, and musicality in a relaxed, supportive setting.

What we’ll work on

  • How to coordinate singing and playing guitar at the same time

  • Understanding the basic codes of pop music and common song structures

  • Keeping a steady tempo while singing and strumming

  • Improving your guitar accompaniment while adding vocals

  • Playing with dynamics and nuance to support the song

  • Learning how to take different roles: lead singer, backing vocals, or accompanist

What you’ll walk away with

  • The ability to sing and play guitar simultaneously with more ease and confidence

  • Tools to lead a song or add backing vocals while accompanying

  • A stronger, more musical guitar accompaniment

  • Better control of dynamics, groove, and feel

  • A clearer understanding of how pop songs work — and how to approach them efficiently

By the end of the workshop, you’ll feel more comfortable combining voice and guitar and making your playing sound more complete and expressive.
