Meet Federico – Music Production Teacher
Federico also know as Phonez is a music producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist with a strong background in electronic, pop, and indie music. His musical journey began in Italy at the age of 14, when he started playing bass in a band, inspired by the energy and groove of Red Hot Chili Peppers and their iconic bass player Flea. What started as a passion for performance soon evolved into a deep curiosity for music production and shaping sound behind the scenes.
Driven by this interest, Federico began producing music for his own band and quickly discovered how much he enjoyed the creative and technical side of production. He went on to study music production at a music school in Rome, followed by formal training in electronic music at The Alfredo Casella Conservatoire of Music. Along the way, he refined his skills through specialized masterclasses, continuously raising his production level and artistic vision.
Now based in Brussels, Federico is a dedicated and experienced music production teacher who supports students at every stage of their creative development. His teaching approach is hands-on, structured, and adaptable, focusing on building strong technical foundations, sharpening listening skills, and helping students gain confidence in their own creative choices. Alongside his teaching practice, he has worked as a professional producer for artists and labels including Warner Chappell Music, Chillout Tales, LaPop, Visory Indie, and King Street Sounds, and brings this real-world experience into the classroom through practical, industry-informed lessons using Ableton Live, Steinberg Cubase, and a wide range of professional production tools.
