Diego Higueras

Diego Higueras is a versatile guitarist from Peru, whose musical identity blends blues, rock, and Latin influences. Shaped by the sounds of the 1970s from an early age, Diego has built a rich career through collaborations with renowned artists and bands, including Russell Gunn, The Skatalites, Vin Gordon of The Wailers, New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, and Tyrone Downie. He is also the guitarist of La Chiva Gantiva, with whom he regularly tours internationally, and works closely with artist and producer Thomas Franckhopper.
TEACHING STYLE
As a teacher, Diego goes beyond purely academic learning, placing emotion, musical expression, and the art of performing at the heart of his lessons. He encourages students to develop their own sound and learn how to truly connect with and move an audience. Alongside individual lessons, Diego offers personalised workshops designed to explore electric guitar in depth, helping students develop their technique, creativity, and stage presence while discovering what it means to become a complete musician.
